So, when I was first learning Hangul (한글), one of the first things I did was select the option on my laptop (Windows) to be able to type in the language. If I remember right it was a little confusing to set-up but not that much, and I must of been around 15-16 at the time so if I could do it you probably can lol.

<< Once you've selected 2 keyboards, this flag symbol should pop-up on the menu bar of your screen. I'f you don't want to lose the shortcut for spotlight (I've never used it really so I won't miss it) you can just click on this and select '2-set Korean' . You can also get a handy window by clicking 'Show Keyboard Viewer' which will show you where the characters are on the keyboard. Mine says hide cos I had it open already :P
Once I did it, it was easy to switch back and forth cos it had a keyboard shortcut. I also use a tablet a lot because I draw on my computer digitally so back then I was also able to get thisoption on my tablet where I could just write in the hangul and it would convert it into text, which waspretty nifty :P
I found it was really helpful and after a while it became almost natural typing it, as in I didn't need to reference to the guide (if you have trouble you can always select the on-screen keyboard option) I could just touch type without seeing the guide to the keyboard. So if you trying to learn the language too it's a good option to have and you don't need to pay anything so, why not?
Now I have a Macbook and that was a little bit different, took me a while but maybe that's because I stayed up till 3 last night and did it just before I went to bed xD. Anyways, i seemssimple now so the way to do it on a mac is to...
1- Go the little Apple symbol in the top-left corner andselect from the menu 'System Preferences'

<<Click on this2- Select the tab 'Input Sources' and tick the box for Hangul, after this click on keyboard shortcuts

(I was gonna say before Windows might be better for languages cos of the shortcut on keyboards, but like half an hour ago I worked out how to do it on a mac too).

^^^ If you want to use the shortcut for the keyboard switch, you'll have to un-tick the shortcut for 'Spotlight', or at least one of them.

뚜봐요~~
안녕하세요! My name's Di, and I'm going to use this blog as a place to collect my learnings through this awesome language C: And I'm inviting you lot to learn with me~
Since getting into K-Pop and K-dramas, I've wanted to learn Korean, and I actually started a couple of years ago :D I learnt quite a lot especially including the alphabet (which I never really forgot, since I drilled it into my skull at the time xD), and basic phrases, objects, grammar... but school got in the way and forced me to stop :C And after all that time, I've decided to get back into it! C: As well as using this blog to collect the things I learn I'm also going to probably post things to do with K-pop/K-drama too, but I'll probably tag them differently so you could always filter those posts out~ lol
Anyways, on to proper posts!
